    Hello!

I am sorry to address you in English, I don't speak French. And English is not my language either...

Anyway, I have GR-PD1 and I also have service manuals for PD1, HD1 and HD10. I can tell you one thing: they are absolutely the same! I am planning to get Jig Connector Cable YTU93082C and use this software http://pagina.vizzavi.pt/~ng93827a/Jvc/ to download eeprom contents and then start from there by changing the values and .

Does anybody know where I can get the YTU93082C cable?

    Best wishes, Leo

so, you mean that the bytes to change are listed in the manual, or do we have to find where the functions are hidden.
I got a HD1 and i am interested to deactivate de sharp filter and activate the sound control.
the cable you are looking for is one of those described in the link you give. Seems very easy to build. I could do that.

Our cameras need special adaptor to connect JLIP cable, see the image. I am making cable now as we speak, hopefully it will fit!

    PD1/HD1/HD10 have two eeproms:
25LC640 - 8 Kbytes on main digital board
25LC040 - 512 bytes on monitor board (with all the buttons on the left side)

I hope JLIP software can access them, if not - I will have to find the way.

By the way HD1 and HD10 have the same digital board part number but different monitor board numbers. So maybe this 512 byte eeprom is where camera model is defined.

There is no reason to have eeprom on monitor board - all wiring from it goes directly to the digital board CPU.

I wonder how much this replacement monitor board (part number YB10412B1-01) would cost from JVC?

OK, I have made the JLIP adaptor and can read camera EEPROM. What do I do next?

your are supposed to know what code (bytes) to change.
I think it must be in the service manual.
If you do not know , you can try to get another model (PD1 versus HD1) and compare the files.
the difference should indicates the location of the code we are looking for.
I think the best is to compare first and HD1 versus HD10 since it almost the same camera.

No, unfortunately it is not in the service manual, but in Service Support Software that I don't have. If I had HD1 or HD10 it would be easier...

I think without the correct code, any modification would leave you with dead camera.

    Salut!

Despite what common sense is telling me, I decided to try! So far I have found colour matrix gain/mix control table that defines how elementary colours of White/Green/Cyan/Yellow CCD matrix are mixed together. I want to try to remove bluish tint and get warmer, film-like tone.

If you are interested, I will keep posting in this thread.

OK, this weekend je recherche interesting things in EEPROM and I have found something that looks like softness.

I have put together very quick test. Ignore the colours and exposure. Have a look here:

    http://www.lbodnar.dsl.pipex.com/video/index.html

E.g. compare the red "DOVE" store sign on the far left.
