Can anyone tell me where can I get this product in France please? If I have understood well, I need this to mount a third party (like Rode) mic and torch to it, isn't it ?

Thanks a lot asuranii. That's really helpful. Yes, when I told France, I was effectively meaning a shop that has it's outlet in France, like pixmania or topachat or amazon or cdiscount or rueducommerce etc. That makes the postage cheaper, compared to if I need to buy that from the US.

well... actually... I'm not sure

because it says there is no electrical contact with this one
so I don't know if you need to power your stuff with the shoe or you have an external power supply...

And I don't know much about Canon, nor their adapter.
also, amazon gave some info about the compatibility.
