La derniere version de MC la 4.0.4 supporte le Snow Leopard :-)
    (MAC OS 10.6)

(information extraite du forum Avid )
    http://community.avid.com/forums/t/77763.aspx)

    Eligibility:

Customers with a valid Avid Support Contract can download/upgrade their v4.0.x/v8.0.x editor(s) on the Avid Download Center (login and password required) and any customers who purchased Avid Media Composer v4.0.x, Avid Symphony v4.0.x and Avid NewsCutter v8.0.x are entitled to download/upgrade from the avid.com Download Site on the version update page.

    Important Notes:

    1. This release has been qualified with Mac OS® X Snow Leopard® v10.6.2.
    2. Apple Mac OS 10.5.8 Leopard is also compatible for use with Avid Media Composer v4.0.4 and Avid Symphony v4.0.4.
    3. Customers should NOT perform an upgrade from Leopard to Snow Leopard OS. They MUST perform a clean install of Snow Leopard in order for the editors (Avid Media Composer v4.0.4 or Avid Symphony v4.0.4) to install properly.
    4. These are full installers and contain additional fixes and performance improvements.
    5. Any Academic system that is currently at v4.0.x/v8.0.x can be upgraded to v4.0.4/v8.0.4 as well.
    6. Important information has been added to the audio device compatibility section. For example, Pro Tools v8.0.3 and later does not include support for the Mbox 1. Customers that wish to use Mbox 1, should use Pro Tools v8.0.1. See “Audio Device Compatibility with Avid Editing Applications and Pro Tools” on page 25 and “Co-Install Supported Configurations” on page 26 of the ReadMe documents for updated information.
    7. QuickTime X is tested and supported with Snow Leopard and Avid Media Composer v4.0.4 and Avid Symphony v4.0.4 however, Apple does NOT have a QuickTime Pro version of QuickTime X at this time. Users of QT Pro should be sure to choose the optional QT 7 install. Also, Snow Leopard removes the MPEG2 codec component if you had it installed previously under FCP. If you have FCP installed or if you purchased the MPEG 2 codec from Apple, first move it from System/Library/QuickTime/QuickTimeMPEG2.component to your codecs folder to the desktop before upgrading to Snow Leopard.

    Fixes and ReadMe Files
Avid Media Composer v4.0.4, Avid Symphony v4.0.4 and Avid NewsCutter v8.0.4 are update releases to the existing v4.0.x/v8.0.x editors. There are many enhancements and fixes to this release so everyone is encouraged to read the ReadMe document provided with the download and also located on the Knowledge Base prior to upgrading. The final ReadMe documents are now available on the Knowledge Base.
