This camcorder offers unequaled picture clarity due to its digital video format. Videos recorded in DV can have up to two times the horizontal resolution of VHS and three times the component color sampling. This results in sharper, brighter colors. Your videos will look like a pro's, because the time base correction will eliminate the "jitters" encountered in some tapes. And the error correction feature will fill in missing video data for a sharper image. This unit has a color LCD Monitor Advanced Color Viewfinder which makes viewing and focusing a snap. Super Steadyshot Image Stabilization uses motion sensors that compensate for camera "shake". NightShot 0 Lux Infrared System lets you record in total darkness, 0 lux. The included IR emitters let you shoot video in total darkness up to 3 meters away. With the optional HVL-IRH NightShot light, images up to 30 meters away can be captured. LaserLink Wireless Connection System with TV Control Improved LaserLink System provides wireless connection between the TV and camcorder up to 4.8 meters away, (requires optional IFT-R10 receiver). TV Control will turn on most Sony TV's and set it to the proper video input for added convenience. Intelligent Accessory Shoe lets you use a variety of Intelligent Accessoires like the HVL-IRH NightShot Light without any additional batteries or connections. The Intelligent Accessory shoe also provides synchronized operation of lights and microphones, automatically.
