C'est un festival pour les "films" destinés à être visionnés sur les petits écrans LCD intégrés à la nouvelle génération de téléphones portables. Voici le mail d'origine que j'ai reçu, pour information :) :

Are you ready to set the creative standard for a new medium this March?

We are BigDigit, Inc. and we are producing 'The World's Smallest Film Festival' (WSFF), which is an event to showcase the entertainment content and technology that will be viewable on the next generation of mobile phones. This phenomenon has already taken much of the rest of the world by storm and now live-video for mobile phones is coming to the U.S. The 'The World's Smallest Film Festival' will be hosted in March 2003 at the largest wireless technology/content show (CTIA) in the U.S, with 40,000 attendees (including major studio executives and the creative community), and 800 members of the press present, and the Film Festival will be one of the featured events. Guest speakers at CTIA will include Ted Turner, Bill Gates, etc.

    for information

'The World's Smallest Film Festival' is an integral part of the overall CTIA show and as such will be widely promoted by them. The finalists in the various categories of the film festival will have their films screened at the show behind the daily keynote speakers (including Ted Turner, etc.) as each of the conference attendees starts their day; at a special WSFF booth on the show floor (where viewers can vote for the films); or during a 4.5 hour conference we are producing for invited media/technology executives and key influencers. This conference will allow participating companies a role in defining the future of mobile multimedia to a highly targeted and influential audience of creative and technology companies. You could help set the standard in Ultrashort films (0 - 1 minute), and Feature films (1 - 7 minutes), with categories in Drama, Comedy, Episodic, Music, Instructional, Animation, Commercial, Sports.

'The World's Smallest Film Festival' at CTIA promises to be a fascinating, high-visibility event situated precisely at the intersection of wireless technology and film. Future venues include both technical events and large film festivals in Asia, South America and Europe.

Should we be talking? If you are interested in sponsoring, hosting, or otherwise being involved in 'The World's Smallest Film Festival', please give us a call or visit the web site. We can be reached in Los Angeles at 310-277-FILM (3456).
