Good news To all Studio 7 users. Pinnacle Will be posting a new beta patch by Monday 8/27/01 5pm PST.
I would like to invite ALL users to download and apply this patch. Below is a list of Problems which have been addressed.

NOTE: Support for DC10plus functionality is not fully included. There are some parts which have functionality, and there are some which do not. Support for the DC10plus under Studio 7 will not be implemented until the software has been completed and released.

Fixed in 7.04.**

Capture:

Fixed problems with non-DV devices, including Pinnacle USB capture, Pinnacle PCTV, ATI AIW, and Logitech Webcams
Pinnacle DC10 support is improved, but will not be completely implemented until v 7.05
All PAL preview capture settings now work
Captured/Dropped frame indicators now work
Capture no longer drops the first few frames
Capture now remembers last device used even if it is disconnected

Edit

CD tool now finds start and end of tracks properly
Fixed timeline hole problems with speed change and strobe
Transitions can now cover entire graphic
Outpoint of trimmer was one frame off
Fixed disappearing timeline problem
Dragging trimmer now updates clip in timeline properly
Still image now adds correctly to the timeline
Inserting scene near graphic transition now works correctly
Splitting clip after transition when audio track is locked now works correctly
Timeline playback no longer starts automatically when Transition category is changed
Trimming no longer causes hole in timeline
Trimming titles no longer shortens adjacent transitions
Adding title to video track no longer causes problems with audio
Moving Clips no longer causes problems with audio
Split clip now works properly with MP3s
Duration can now be set for graphics using graphic tool

TitleDeko

TitleDeko no longer beeps when font not found

Make Tape

No longer tries to render files over 4GB

Make MPEG

Improved MPEG quality
Disabled MPEG2 pre-filtering for DVD preset
MPEG pre-filtering is now user selectable with Custom pre-set
DVD quality MPEG's now have correct field order
DVD preset bit rate is now 6 Mb/sec
MPEG-2 custom settings are now saved
Fixed Intermittent crashes when rendering mpeg

Make RealVideo

Make RealVideo with speed change now works properly
Other
Fixed some Dutch and German translation problems

I would like to ask those of you who apply this patch and then come up with a problem to please post what that is in the BETA FEEDBACK FORUM. Only post issues that were not there before applying the patch. Other issues will be best addressed within the forum of that topic.

Once again we are hoping to get it posted today, but it may take until Monday.
