Voici une annonce parue le 4 janvier :

"Pioneer Announces Availability of the First Ever Combination DVD/CD Recordable Drive Offered in Compaq Presario 7000 PC Systems"

D'après l'annonce, ce graveur permet de créér des DVD compatibles avec les lecteurs de salon, la capacité étant limité à 4,7 Gb.

Et comme cela titille un peu les concurents, voilà Philips qui annonce sa solution ! (avec toutes mes excuses pour le texte en anglais) :

Philips Consumer Electronics (NYSE: PHG) today demonstrated its first
DVD-Video Recorder, based on DVD+RW technology at the Consumer Electronics
Show.
The DVDR1000 will be introduced into the U.S. market in the second half of
2001. Compatible with both existing and future DVD-Video and DVD-ROM equipment,
Philips DVD-Video Recorder allows consumers to create their own DVDs and play
the bare disc back on past, present and future players.
The DVDR1000 features an AC-3 decoder/encoder for superior sound quality
and an index picture screen, which allows users to see what has been recorded
as well as how much space is available on the disc. In addition, Philips
DVD-Video Recorder includes a digital i.Link data transfer (IEEE1394) for
transferring camcorder footage to DVD, preserving the recordings in perfect
digital picture and sound quality. The recorder also has a convenient editing
capability, which does not require any special software and allows users to do
linear editing directly on the recorder using the television as a display.
In addition to DVD+RW and DVD-Video discs, the DVDR1000 also is
compatible with CD, CD-R, CD-RW, S-VCD and VCD discs.
"Only DVD+RW technology offers consumers compatibility that the DVD
recordings they make will play back on existing DVD-Video players," said
Thorsten Koch, senior vice president and general manager, Video, Philips
Consumer Electronics, North America. "Since we expect the installed base of
DVD-Video and DVD-ROM players to exceed 160 million by the end of this year, we
think that this feature will be highly appreciated by consumers. Philips
DVDR1000 broadens the functionality of the DVD-Video player by allowing
consumers to simply press a record button to create their own DVDs."
The Philips DVD video recorder will allow consumers to create their own
DVDs, recording up to two hours of content on a single 4.7 GB DVD+RW disc in
DVD quality. It also is possible to record up to four hours of better than VHS
quality footage. For consumers who want to record even more content on a single
disc, it is possible to create a double-sided disc with a 9.4 GB capacity DVD,
which allows a total of up to eight hours of recording on a single disc.
DVD+RW media are interchangeable between the PC and TV platforms,which
means that consumers can record something with their camcorder, copy it onto a
DVD+RW disc with Philips DVDR1000 Video Recorder, edit it on a PC and playit
back on existing DVD-Video players and DVD-ROM drives.

peut etre vais je me repeter,mais alors que jvc a sorti un scope D-VHS en Mai 2000 aussi performant qualitativement parlant qu'un enregistreur de DVD et surtout nettement moins cher,on n'en parle pas plus sur ce forum qui est par ailleurs souvent à la pointe de ce qui se fait.

Apple annonce les 5 dvd vierge pour 50 dollors. Le graveur prevu est le pioneer
Cela fera 100F en france par dvd. Correct pour commencer.

Bonjour.
Je vois pas trop l'interet du D-VHS par rapport au DV qui marche aussi bien.
On utilise toujours une bande.
L'avantage du DVD je pense que c'est le support.
Ca serait bien qu'il existe a un prix équivalent.

il faut comparer ce qui est comparable,un scope DV est destiné au montage,alors que sur un DVHS on peut enregitrer le final monté virtuelemnt seulement.mais la qualité est la meme.l'interet par rapport au dvd enregistrable est le prix de l'appareil en lui meme ainsi que le prix du support ainsi que la durée d'enregistrement.
