(Mes excuses pour ne pas ecrire en français.)

    I'm a non-professional (digital) video-editor and for my PC I'm looking for:
    A. a video-card that's good (excellent) for this task an cost less than 175 euro (as I'm not a gamer, I don't need to see bullets hitting a wall in a shooting-game or see falling the leeves in a race-sim).
    B. a fire-wire-card. Someone told me that (depending on the chipset) not all these cards are capable of receiving/sending (at a high speed) data without errors. Is this true? (Price less than 125 euro.)
Which cards (sold in Belgium) should I buy? Thanks in advance for the info.

This is a French speaking forum...

I'll reply to you anyway, but please next time either write in French or find an English speaking forum ;) OK ?

    A. Any graphic adapter can do the job since Video Editing is only accessing the 2D engine of the card. So, don't worry for this, it's definitely not an issue.

    B. This is not true. All FireWire cards, compliant with the IEEE1394 standard have to support a bandwidth of 400MHz. If they don't it's either because they are not compliant with the standard, or they are broken

I can't take the third question, I'm not living in Belgium, sorry for that...

    Cheers,
    Dan
