La version annoncée est le 4.01. Voici les principales fonctions :

v4.01. New features of purple and purple.field v4.01 include:
- XL & FX options now included in the base package
- Great new tools for network workgroups
o Multiple volumes, capture to different volumes including separate
audio/video, network optimized volume management
- Great new tools for logging and capturing
o Insert to timeline; new naming tool; accessible timeline and project during
logging; real-time audio levels as a clip property (non-destructive)
- Great new tools for media management
o New Project Media Tab, Tag Media, Batch Sequence, Consolidate,
Condense, Selective render file management.
- Color Correction Editor (optional) includes Primary and Secondary Color
Correction.
o Luminance, Red, Green, Blue for Blacklevel, Gamma and Gain. Contrast
and Brightness, Hue and Saturation control.
o Auto White Balance, Histogram- and Hue-match, Legalizer, Tone-, Gray-,
Color-balance etc. Vectorscope, Waveform, Cube etc. all based on the
full frame. Selective color correction, color vector, multiple color picker.
- Timewarp FX (Dynamic Motion Control):
o Linear Timewarp Editor including Fit to Fill function, Motion Detection,
Strobe, Trailing and Progressive effects
o Dynamic Timewarp Editor adding all functions to a sophisticated
completely keyframeable curve editor with position and speed curve
displays including linearized keyframing.
- ClipSync
o Allows video and audio clips to be connected together, e.g. film from
camera and audio from DAT. Sync operation can be based on Timecode,
Marker, Mark In/ Mark Out etc.
- Project Browser – single monitor display optimized with flexible timeline layout
and multiple project browsing.
- Xsend to Commotion 4.1 – integration with Pinnacle’s award winning Paint, Roto
and Compositing application.

D'après toi peut on faire la mise à jour avec un montage en cours?

 

Personnellement, je déconseille. En effet, sur la béta que nous avons essayé, il n'est plus possible de rentrer en version 2.55 un projet qui est passé dans la version 4.
Maintenant, il est possible de faire une sauvegarde du projet en version 2.55 au cas où.
